In 2015, the State Historic Preservation Office granted the Clinton Historic District Commission $30,000 to conduct a study titled "Capital Needs Assessment and Stewardship Plan Report." The purpose of the study was to determine what would be needed to preserve the Stanton House, and how best to manage the museum going forward.

Adam Stanton House and General Store is a unique historic house museum in Clinton, CT, filled with 19th century furnishings, artwork, documents, and inventory originally owned by the Adam Stanton family. The museum is open to the public by appointment.
